Workshop: Storytelling – from generic to authentic with the help of AI

Intresset för generativ AI växer inom Europas kreativa och kulturella sektorer, där film, spel och upplevelseindustrier kan dra nytta av AI-teknik för att generera idéer och underlätta produktion.

Den 12-13 september ges en exklusiv workshop i Göteborg tillsammans med andra kreatörer inom scenkonst, film, TV, spel och XR. Kurstillfället ger en  introduktion till hur generativ AI kan påverka och användas i konceptutveckling och produktion i de kreativa sektorerna. Hur kan idéer och produktionsprocesser förändras när man integrerar AI-tekniker – och kommer de att förändras till det bättre?

Utbildningsinsatsen leds av Tatjana Samopjan, kreativ konsult specialiserad inom utveckling av film, TV serier and dokumentärer, samt Andrea Nordwall, konstnär och universitetsadjunkt i medieteknik med inriktning mot visuella uttryck på Institutionen för teknik och estetik på Blekinge Tekniska Högskola.

11.00-12.00 Audiovisual talk (ONLINE/Workshopdeltagare deltar exklusivt på plats i Göteborg )

The times are changing. Can new technology affect the audiovisual industries so that storytelling becomes more authentic instead of generic? In her talk, Tatjana Samopjan will reflect on what is required of humans to use AI as a tool to create authenticity in storytelling. The lecture will explore the relationship between imagination and lived experience, embodied intelligence, the ability to hold multiple perspectives both emotionally and cognitively, as well the importance of non-narrative mental states. All of it is necessary for a present-day storyteller who aims beyond the generic and the predictable. With minimal human input AI will soon be able to do what an average creative does today - only much more quickly and for a fraction of the cost. What will make the difference for storytellers that want to stay relevant and even thrive in this new landscape? A Q&A vill follow after the lecture.

Generative AI for creative concept creation

In this workshop, we introduce and discuss generative AI for early conceptual work for film, game, and immersive creative industries. Participants are given a practical introduction to textual and image-based creative concept work and put these skills to practice by developing a concept to deepen their understanding of the potential and pitfalls of generative AI technologies for concept development.

How generative AI transforms creative sectors

In this follow-up workshop, we focus on the implications of new AI technologies for the creative sectors, based on participants' own experience, needs, and outlook on the future. How could ideation and production processes change when integrating AI technologies - and will they change for the better?

Begränsat antal platser.

TeaterAlliansen kan erbjuda 3 platser på workshopen till anställda skådespelare och regissörer med erfarenhet av skrivande/storytelling, samt dramaturget/manusförfattare.  Arrangörerna förbehåller sig rätten att sätta samman en grupp deltagare som representerar en bredd av aktörer.

Deltagarna i workshopen bjuds på lunch och middag tillsammans med gruppen.
