Théâtre du Soleil Mask Workshop

med Duccio Bellugi (FR)

TeaterAlliansen, kompetensutveckling, skådespelare

The training covers the basics of acting work of the Théâtre du Soleil. The work aims to explore the development of the imagination of the actor through the principles of the acting with Topeng (Topeng means an object that covers the face i.e. a type of mask made from wood or paper) and Commedia dell'Arte masks.

The mask, free from all the clichés that often accompany it, is the ultimate learning tool for achieving incarnation of the character. Through improvisation, we face the actor's work in its various aspects and theatrical acts: listening, be present, body awareness.
The course is structured in two main parts: Body work with rhythmic and musical awareness. Improvisation which contains research on physical transformation. Kursspråk är engelska.
